Today is our 1st Anniversary
A special day for just you and me
Early I awake today in quiet
Yearning for the sound of your voice
It seems I've known you always
I understand wedded bliss
There are times I just lay and stare
At the peace shimmering on your face
Four decades it took me
To find a special you
Jacob's first wife
My last——please dear God
You and me
And a cocker puppy makes three
There is warmth, security
In being a real family
I explode with desire
Simply at the touch of your hand
And I feel a warmth
I have never known before
You and me kid
That's not a bad team
Maybe another puppy or two
Heaven can't be much better
I miss you already
Tho' you haven't left for work
The day just drags by
Until we're family again
Thanks to you from me
I can ask for naught else
You have made me complete
You're the best

Life consists of lots of little things,
A wriggling puppy dog
The smile on a child's face
The look of passion on her face.
Just silly simple little things
Holding hands in the park
A picnic under a willow
A wink from my lover's eye.
A wife is many little things
A best friend who listens
A wanton lover who groans
Weakness, strength, caring, forever.
Thank G-d for all the little things
That make my life complete
The silly simple little things
Always mine to keep
Yes give me just silly little things
The sun, a kiss, your love
My life is better off by far
When all these are tallied up.
The oft 'oer looked, the little things
We too often Just ignore
The fact that others need us so
A child, a pet, a mate.
G-d help me cherish little things
For they make me rich indeed
And take this ordinary man
Amaze, daze, add her gaze, I'll be complete.
With itty bitty little things
So precious, so wondrous, so sweet.
